Teaching Learning Resource Center (TLRC)

The TLRC's main purpose is to provide support for faculty who are using technology in the classroom. The TLRC is where faculty can go with any issues related to distancel earning. The TLRC houses all faculty web developers, and is your one-stop shop to receive assistance with Blackboard. The TLRC is located in Davidson Hall 241.  For assistance in creating new web-based course, please contact Suzanne Patzer at 614.287.5748

  

GroupWise 6.5

GroupWise is Columbus State's chosen e-mail system. However, GroupWise is much more than an e-mail system. GroupWise is a versatile, easy to use collaboration system that has a lot to offer both faculty members and staff.

Blackboard 6

Blackboard is Columbus State's chosen course management system. Blackboard houses all online courses for CSCC, and is used by faculty who teach traditional courses. Staff at CSCC use Blackboard as a tool to support various college committees, clubs, and other work related organizations.

Mimio

Mimio is a very interesting and easy to use tool that enables you to easily record anything written on any standard whiteboard. Mimio enables users to publish notes written on a whiteboard directly to the web. For more information on how to access Mimio tools, please contact the TLRC at 614.287.5991.

Tegrity Web Studio

Tegrity Web Studio, is a very exciting tool that enables users to capture complete presentations for online use. Tegrity is able to capture, video, audio, Power Point, and anything else used during a presentation - and easily recreate the experience online with out any web development what so ever.

Camtasia

Camtasia is a very easy to use screen recording tool that allows you to make a helpful videos from anything running on your desktop computer. Example: use camtasia to easily create a helpful video on how to do something in Blackboard, Word, Datatel, or any other product that you may need to teach someone how to use.
Videoconferencing

Videoconferencing enables you to communicate with one or more parties via voice and video in real time. With all new Polycom equipment, videoconferencing has become a very powerful tool. For information on how to access videoconferencing, please contact Suzanne Patzer at 614.287.5991.

Nestor Hall Auditorium

Currently, Nestor Hall auditorium is the most advanced auditorium at CSCC. Fully intigrated technology found in this area is: videoconferencing, Internet access, triple LCD projectors, DVD, CD,digital slide machine, and many other useful tools.
