ERC Test Files Available for Faculty!

Working closely with the ERC, ITI now provides Blackboard test files that can be used in your Blackboard course. These ERC test files can be used as follow-up quizzes for Catalog and Database online tutorials the ERC offers students.

The ERC Web Tutorials can be found on the ERC tab in Blackboard, or on the ERC's home page, www.cscc.edu/library.

Catalog Tutorial Quiz: This is a 14 question quiz to assess students' completion of the ERC Web Tutorial, Module 1: The Library's Catalogs & OhioLINK.

What is Respondus?
Respondus is a software program that enables you to easily, quickly, and efficiently manage exams for use online or for traditional teaching.  Respondus enables you to take exams created in any word processor and publish them directly to Blackboard and other popular course management systems.

General Respondus Information

• During the first step of the import process, you will need to take your exam document and edit the document as described in the reference below.  Keep in mind that Respondus only imports files in the format of Plain Text (.txt) and Rich Text Format (.rft).

Step 2: Import document into Respondus

• Please make sure the Respondus Personality is set to Blackboard 6.3 - 7.x!
• Before you are able to upload any exams/surveys to Blackboard, you will need to configure Respondus to access Blackboard. Use the document listed below to enable Respondus to upload directly to Blackboard.  This process will only have to be done onetime for each installation of Respondus.

Step 2: Set Exam Settings:

• Setting your exam settings enables you to decide how your exam will react once activated on Blackboard. Examples: select whether students can access an exam multiple times, or whether students have the ability to see all exams questions at once or one question at a time, etc.

TIP: Once you have added an Instructor Evaluation to a course, it can be easily copied to future quarter courses
during the standard course copy procedure.
