Webinar Offerings

What are Webinars?

A Webinar is a live seminar delivered over the web. The seminar information appears on a specific website when you log on with a password. You typically hear the audio through a speakerphone or as a live audio stream over the web. A Webinar is designed to be interactive between the presenter and audience. The audience can ask questions over the telephone or by typing in a question on the website, like in a chat room. Usually educational Webinars last 1-3 hours and cover a variety of topics such as higher education administration, teaching practices, student support services and uses of instructional technologies.

Who are able to attend Webinars?

Anyone may attend a Webinar. The ITI department may identify a specific group of staff, faculty or administrators who would be interested in specific Webinar topics for promotion. For example, financial aid administrators and staff would be alerted if we had a Webinar on Online FAFSA Forms.

What is the cost to attend a Webinar?

You do not have to pay to attend a Webinar. A college department will cover the necessary registration costs.
