Live Online Courses meet online at scheduled times. All materials are provided in Blackboard. Assessments must be completed during scheduled dates and times and may be online or proctored virtually. The options are explained below.
Students requiring accommodations approved by Accessibility Services may need to travel to campus to use of the Testing Center. See the Instructor Handbook for more information.
Testing where students cannot print, copy, access other websites or applications. This does not prevent students from using another device while testing and the test session is not proctored.
Virtual proctoring that records a video of the student’s testing session as they take a test in Blackboard at home or another location on their own.
Virtual proctoring by the instructor as students test in Blackboard using Respondus LockDown Browser during the Zoom meeting.
Projects, presentations, videos, infographics, verbal testing, etc. that allow student to apply concepts and critically thing about their learning in the course. These do not require a proctor.
Students must have an approval email and the instructors are copied on this email.
A second copy of the exam will need to be created for these students.
Only courses where the accreditation requires in-person proctoring or students unable to test virtually. Also, any students with accommodations approved by Accessibility Services, students requiring makeups, and students unable to test in the classroom or virtually. Note: Some accommodations may require your Blackboard test to be extracted as a PDF. See these directions under the Testing Students with Accommodations.
